Hillary Campaign Song Round 2: Vote for the Top 10!

A lot has happened since the last time I posted on this blog. Hillary Clinton gave a fiery speech at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Virginia, and her campaign announced it has raised $45 million. Marriage equality is now legal in all 50 states thanks to the Supreme Court! SCOTUS also ruled in favor of the Affordable Care Act again. And, of course, Donald Trump was fired from everything. It's been an amazing past couple weeks. There was a lot to celebrate in this country on Independence Day this year.

But bringing it back to Hillary, you all had the chance to vote in Round 1 of our Hillary Campaign Song contest. There were 41 songs to choose from based on the submissions that came in. The votes have been tabulated and it's time to announce the Top 20 and start voting once again as we continue the process of finding a song that we Hillary supporters believe should be her 2016 campaign song!

The Top 20 songs you can vote on right now are: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Ain't No Stopping Us Now," "American Girl," "Beautiful Day," "Brave," "Don't Stop Believin'," "Don't Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)," "Eye of the Tiger," "Fighters," "Firework," "Girl on Fire," "I Am Woman," "Our Country," "Respect," "Roar," "Run the World (Girls)," "Simply the Best," "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," "Survivor" and "Woman in the White House."

Like with Round 1, in Round 2 you will be able to vote for more than one song (since there's still a lot to choose from). Voting will last one week and the results will determine the Top 10, with half being eliminated.

Voting for Round 2 is open from Monday, July 6 at 10am to Monday, July 13 at 10am. Use the form below to vote. And feel free to share this blog post on all of your social media pages so that as many Hillary supporters as possible can participate. (Use the hashtag #HillaryCampaignSong.)

Scroll below the form for links to listen to all the songs and to read the lyrics. Reading the lyrics can be useful in seeing if a song is fitting for a campaign--and for Hillary's campaign in particular. (If one of the links doesn't work or a video isn't available anymore after opening the link, please let me know so I can correct it.)

Keep in mind that I am not affiliated with Hillary Clinton or Hillary for America, so these polls are not being used by the campaign to find an official song; this is just for us to show our support and have some fun along the way. But if anybody from the campaign wants to take these results into consideration, please do!
